I began my IT career just as the Millenium Bug was about to hit the fan.
After a few years previously working in industrial chemicals and technical sales I decided it was time for a change and that IT was where the action was.
I started as a Junior Programmer working for Harlyn Systems (then Cadability) in Exeter coding in VB4 & 5
using Oracle databases and quickly worked my way up the ladder to be an Analyst Programmer. Since then I have
held a few developer positions, using VB6, VB.Net and SQL Server before moving into management roles specialising
in software development and data analytics. I went solo in 2006 and now enjoy a variety of development and data projects
working under the name of Xenacode.
